Where it began
I met my partner after she made the big move to the UK from Turkey, and she didn't come alone. She arrived with her dog, Pan. To understand why I do what I do today, you have to understand Pan's story, because that is where everything really began.
It starts back when she was studying to become a vet at university in Istanbul. Pan wasn't a pet then, but a street dog who made his home around the campus grounds. She would look out for him every single day, offering him food, gentle fuss, and eventually a name. She called him Pandora, after the Greek goddess, but quickly shortened it to Pan, which suited him perfectly.

Life on the streets is never easy, and one day things took a scary turn when Pan was hit by an ambulance and suffered a broken leg. Luckily, help was close by. Her best friend, who was also studying to be a vet, stepped in to treat his injury and guide him through his recovery.
That period of healing changed everything. As he got better, she realized she simply couldn't bear the thought of him returning to a life on the streets. She made the decision to take him home for good, and he has been faithfully by her side ever since.

Fast forward 8 years, and a new adventure started when she moved to the UK and brought Pan along with her. Not long after that, we met, and our little family formed. Pan became my dog too, and he instantly stole my heart.
I have always had a passion for photography, but I quickly found that photographing Pan felt different than anything I had done before. I found myself endlessly inspired by his expressive face, his incredible survival story, and the deep bond he shares with my partner. It all clicked into place, and I knew deep down that capturing these kinds of stories was exactly what I was meant to do.
